Your Support is Essential

The Animal Control and Welfare Project, Inc. is a non-profit, 501 (c)(3) West Virginia corporation with operating funds based on donations, grants, fundraising events, and membership dues.

Your support is essential to the health and survival of the homeless or unwanted pets we assist in our county as well as the reduction of unplanned/unwanted pets. Essential vetting costs average $125/pet with some costs reaching up to $1000 for injuries/illness/disease/etc. 20% of the dogs we assist – six months or older – are Lyme positive and a small percentage are Heartworm positive.

Your donations help fund community Spay/Neuter programs.

ACWP incurs many costs associated with driving, fuel and vehicle maintenance in the transportation of pets. Every pet in our program makes no less than two visits to a veterinarian. Crates, cleaning supplies, leashes, collars, paperwork, are also among the many costs involved in our efforts.

We offer our community members transportation assistance for special spay/neuter events.

ACWP also works to raise community outreach and awareness regarding the health and welfare needs of animals in our county.

Please contact us if you are interested in volunteering and/or participating in our many efforts to assist animals in our community.
